This comfortably sized trash can fits ten to sixteen gallon trash bags, and features a bag retainer ring to keep the bag in place. Four D-size batteries operate this unit, but its battery consumption is quite low, requiring new batteries only every six months or so.

We love this trash can, we have had it for a year and haven't had to change the batteries yet. I love that when I have my hands full of stuff I don't have to touch anything to raise the lid. Everybody that as seen it wants to know where we got it and say they HAVE to have one. It looks nice in our new kitchen too. I'm very glad to have found it. Go ahead, treat yourself to one.

We bought this because in our new home we had nowhere to really hide a trash can and our old one that sat out wasn't very attractive. This matches the stainless steel in our kitchen and is just plain cool. It seems like we have to empty it more often because I guess it's just a little smaller than our old one, but even with the retaining ring that holds the bag in place it isn't difficult. So far the battery is holding up well too. It's a quality trash can and worth spending the money on if you need to have it sit out in plain sight like we do.
